Hello! We are back! (cheers)
Some changes at work and a promotion took me away from going to shows and this newsletter (see chart below). Also, my days of making poorly formatted powerpoints and pdfs are way behind me!

50% decline since 2024 peak
What changed? Two things. First: I went to see Brown Horse in August and this concert experience reminded me why I started this in the first place. I never heard of this band until a random spotify algo recommended it to me and I went on a whim. I was blown away by this UK band performing a twangy americana folk rock that is very much inspired by Jason Molina (they performed at his anniversary tribute) who is the man behind Songs: Ohia, a largely unknown indie band. Go listen to Songs: Ohia's Farewell Transmission. I went on a whim, I was blown away, and I want to share that with folks - that's why I (re-)started this.
Second: I am experienced (not necessarily good) at vibecoding. Shameless plug to joincupper.com for those who are coffee fanatics (if you have a passion project, text me and I'll help you set it up). Everyone knows I am impatient. I can't sit in front of a computer making bad pdfs that no one opens. So now we have muse and claude making this. This set up took 3 hours (of which 2 hours is because I had manual tasks because my AOL burner account doesn't have a plugin feature... eventually will retire that AOL) and I will now only spend time writing the blurbs here while the bots do the newsletter, emails, and start learning to suggest concerts that WE would otherwise miss.
